About Jim
Jim is a bluegrass musician and luthier living in Arlington, Texas, mid way between Dallas and Fort Worth. As a lifetime bluegrass musician, his focus has always been on making and repairing the core instruments of the bluegrass band; banjo, guitar, mandolin.

Jim has made over 24 banjos, repaired and restored many more, as well as dreadnought guitars, and mandolins. Along the way, he's worked on violins, ukeleles, dobros (resonator guitars) and a host of other stringed instruments.

Jim built his first banjo in 1981 and has been building and restoring them ever since. His first mandolin came in 1985, and first guitar in 1990.
